Welcome to the Masters of Adult Education Blog at  URI Providence campus! The Master of arts in education: adult education (m.a.) program is a  graduate level practitioner based program offers theoretical and practical applications with a focus on adult learning principles and practices, assessment and evaluation, performance improvement, leadership, program planning, and technology integration within instructional design. The program is designed to develop competencies and skills in helping adults learn within a wide range of social, institutional and cultural contexts. It allows for specialized study in several professional areas. The masters of adult education curriculum at a glance Participants may choose one of six (6) areas of specialization to meet individual needs and interests. Areas include Administration; Adult Literacy; Gerontology: Vocational-Technical and Extension Education; Training and Development; and Education Training and Management Specialist (ETMS)*. *et
